Importance of a Christian Education
I have been asked several times over the years what the difference was between a Christian
and Non-Christian education. First of all, I would answer this question with another question.
What is the most important thing in this world to you? Most people would answer... "My
relationship to God and my family." I would also say that knowing your children have accepted
Christ and are prepared to go out into the world would also be near the top of your list.
Christian Hills School also has the same focus.
Our mission at Christian Hills School is to please God, disciple our students and promote
excellence in education. The Bible is the rock on which we stand and Jesus is our guide. We are
here to prepare the next generation to be excellent ambassadors for Christ and the kingdom.
We are the school on the hill producing salt and light in our community.
Bible is not to be looked on as a separate subject taught in a Christian school. The teachings
of God's Word are to be woven into every aspect of our lives, which it does through the Biblical
World View presented in every aspect of what we call Christian Hills School.
A person with a Biblical World View looks at their entire life and the world through the Word
of God and biblical principles. Our Lord Jesus is at the center of everything. Every aspect of life,
including education, revolve around the knowledge that our sovereign God created the world
and we were separated from Him by sin. It doesn't end there though. God has redeemed us by
the blood of Jesus, and acceptance of Him into our lives promises eternal life.
Everyone on the earth has some form of a worldview. There are many different types out
there, but only one is based on the principles God teaches us through His Word.
Our children are growing up in an environment that is completely saturated by views that
are contradictory to Christian beliefs. Christian Hills School is here to work together with the
family and church in establishing that Biblical World View and reinforcing godly principles.
Romans 12:2 tells us "And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God."
We believe at Christian Hills School that this is what separates us from Non-Christian
education. God created the entire universe and everything in it. You can't choose to take him
out of the equation in certain areas. We model this through academics, discipleship and every
activity we offer.
Our employees are committed Christians that love, care for and build Christ-centered
relationships with your children. We are intentional in our approach of ministering to the
whole child. Academic excellence and discipleship are what Christian Hills School is all about.
